ScreenOps is a parental control application for Android that allows parents to manage their children’s screen time by requiring them to earn play time through educational app usage. The app is developed and operated by:

By installing and using ScreenOps, you agree to these terms.
ScreenOps is not a surveillance tool. It does not monitor, record, or transmit the content of your child’s messages, browsing activity, location, or any personal communications. It controls which apps can run and for how long. That’s it.
ScreenOps is not a replacement for parenting. It’s a tool that enforces rules you set. The quality of those rules is up to you.
Both plans include all features, all modes, and multi-child support. There are no tiers, no premium features, and no upsells.
The subscription payment serves a dual purpose: it funds development and it verifies that an adult — not a child — is activating the app. Children typically do not have access to a credit card or payment method linked to Google Play. There is no free trial for this reason.
You can cancel your subscription at any time through the Google Play Store. Upon cancellation:
Google Play offers automatic refunds within 48 hours of any purchase. Beyond that window, email screenops.app@gmail.com and I’ll process a refund. No questions asked. If you feel like telling me what didn’t work, I’d genuinely appreciate it — but if you’d rather not, that’s your call.
Annual subscriptions can be cancelled at any time. Access continues until the end of the paid period. Partial refunds for unused months are not provided for annual plans, but if you’re unhappy, reach out and we’ll figure it out.
ScreenOps includes a smart app classifier that automatically categorizes installed apps as educational, recreational, tools, or always-allowed. This classification is based on a curated database, Play Store categories, and algorithmic scoring.
This classification is a best-effort estimate, not a verified seal of approval. I have not personally tested every app on the Google Play Store. Parents are responsible for reviewing and overriding classifications as they see fit. If you find a miscategorized app, please let me know at screenops.app@gmail.com.
ScreenOps is designed to work on Android devices running Android 8.0 (Oreo) and above. I have tested the app on a limited number of devices. With thousands of Android manufacturers, hardware configurations, and custom OS variants, I cannot guarantee perfect compatibility with every device.
If you experience compatibility issues, please report them. Every bug report helps make the app better for everyone.
ScreenOps includes anti-cheat mechanisms designed to prevent children from bypassing parental controls. These include tamper detection, root detection, safe mode detection, screen recording detection, and other measures.
While these systems are robust, no software is 100% bypass-proof. I continuously improve these defenses, but I cannot guarantee that a sufficiently motivated and technically skilled individual will never find a workaround. If your child discovers a bypass method, please report it so I can patch it.
You agree to use ScreenOps only for its intended purpose: parental screen time management for your own children or children in your legal care. You agree not to:
ScreenOps, including its code, design, branding, and documentation, is the intellectual property of Telegis Netzplanung GbR. You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes as long as your subscription is active.
ScreenOps is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. I do my best to make the app reliable and effective, but I cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation, complete bypass prevention, or compatibility with every device.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Telegis Netzplanung GbR shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use ScreenOps, including but not limited to:
Total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. For consumers residing in the EU, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence apply where they provide greater protection.
The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. I am not obligated to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board, but I am always reachable at screenops.app@gmail.com to resolve issues directly.
I may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be published on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of ScreenOps after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
For material changes (pricing, liability, data handling), I will provide notice through the app or by email if you have contacted me previously.
These terms were written in plain language because legal gymnastics help nobody. If something is unclear, email me and I’ll explain it like a human.
